From the President
As stated in our by-laws, the mission of the Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce shall be “create the best business climate in Louisiana for our members.” This is a noble purpose, but our Chamber’s vision far exceeds our mission statement. We are a city on the move with a vision of increase and success. Continuing to grow while maintaining the core character and virtues of this great town, are our primary goals. All available resources are put into force not only to support our established businesses but also to usher in the growth and development of new industry.
The Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce membership is comprised of a multitude of businesses and vocations. From house cleaning to multi-million dollar companies, our Chamber supports the businesses that keep our local economy moving. Strong local leadership is key to attracting both new residents and new businesses. Our parish school systems work hard to maintain a quality education for our children; whether public, private or post-secondary. Minden Medical Center holds “Top 100 Hospitals” honors and affords our citizens the best modern healthcare in the area. A progressive law enforcement community keeps our residents safe.
Whether shopping along historic Main Street with its signature brick streets or doing business with one of our members in the South Webster Industrial District, Minden has something for everyone. We are a small city with a big heart. Charity is the very essence and spirit of the people that call Minden home. The true character of our town glows when her citizens are in need.
For years, Minden was known as “The Friendliest City in the South.” I stand by that sentiment and encourage you to get to know our area. Stroll through the Historic District, antique shops on Main Street or take a drive and enjoy beautiful Lake Bistineau. Minden and South Webster have so much to offer. Take the time to get to know us and you’ll do as so many others have done…
COME HOME TO MINDEN!!
Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce
