DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to announce that Miss Minden\, Sadie Brown\, and The Young Women’s Service Club are hosting a End of School Bash for our community! Come out and have fun with us!!\n\nWe will have the following activities:\n-Miss Minden\, Sadie Brown\, will have a “Confidence Corner” that will have arts\, an Affirmation Station and Confidence Club where we will recognize and celebrate all your accomplishments this year!!\n-Miss Minden Teen Volunteer\, Harleigh Hart\, will be there with information and signup opportunities for her Miss Minden St. Jude Pageant in June!!\n-The newly crowned Miss Louisiana’s Teen\, Ava Martin\, will be hosting a dance party!!\n-Please bring a donation for the Joe Leblanc Food Pantry for the Summer Food Program!! We will post a list of needed items SOON!\n-We will have kickball and tug of war and our local law enforcement\, firemen\, teachers and coaches will be in attendance to play along!! Minden Fire will also have a truck for the kids to check out!\n-Be dressed to enjoy the splash pad\, playground and a BUBBLE PARTY!!!!\n-Love on and visit with adoptable dogs brought out by Lama Animal Rescue and see if you find your new best friend!!\n-Drinks will be provided by Coca-Cola of Minden and Minden Police Chief\, Jared McIver\n-Hot dogs and chips will be provided by Ryan Barnette for Minden Police Chief\n-We will have a snocone truck at the party and will post their pricing soon!!!\n\nWe can’t wait to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Grilling on Main is a high-energy\, non-sanctioned BBQ competition where pitmasters go head-to-head cooking brisket\, ribs\, and chicken\, with meats provided to competitor\, while also creating a signature dish for the People’s Choice category. Teams will fire up their smokers on-site and compete for cash prizes\, awards\, and the coveted Grand Champion belt.\n\nDate: Friday\, June 12- Saturday June 13th (competition weekend)\n\nPublic Samples for People’s Choice will take place on Saturday\, June 13th from 11am-1pm. Get a chance to sample all of the cook team’s dishes for just $10.\n\nCompetition Categories & Payouts-\n\nGrand Champion$4\,000 Prize & Championship Belt\n\nChicken1st Place – $500 & Award2nd Place – $2503rd Place – $125\n\nRibs1st Place – $500 & Award2nd Place – $2503rd Place – $125\n\nBrisket1st Place – $5002nd Place – $2503rd Place – $125\n\nPeople’s Choice1st Place – $1\,0002nd Place – $5003rd Place – $250\n\n-This is a non-sanctioned BBQ competition.-Teams may begin setup at 7:00 AM on Friday\, June 12th.-Competition spaces are first come\, first served and assigned upon arrival by event staff.-Water and limited electricity will be available on-site.-RV electric hookups are not available.-A mandatory competitor meeting will take place on Friday\, June 12 at 5:30 PM. At least one team member must attend to compete.Competition meats will be inspected and distributed during the meeting.-Teams must compete in all three provided meat categories and the People’s Choice category.-All meats and dishes must be prepared and smoked on location.-Any heat source is allowed.-Garnish is not allowed in competition boxes.-Turn-in times must be followed exactly.
