DESCRIPTION:The Minden Evening Lions Club will be hosting a garage sale fundraiser at the Minden Fairgrounds on Friday April 30th and Saturday May 1st.  It will begin at 7 am both days. \nThe Minden Evening Lions Club is a civic organization that supports many other non-profits in Webster Parish.  Among many other things\, they collect food for those in need during the holidays\, do eye screenings on children at almost all of our local schools and support a camp for children with disabilities each year.  Their biggest fundraiser each year is the Minden Fair\, which was cancelled last year due to Covid-19\, so our support means more now than ever.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Scottish Tartan Festival 2021 and help us celebrate our Celtic heritage! Hear music this year from bands Red River Pipes and Drums\, Smithfield Fair\, Cleghorn and Emerald Accent. Visit the clan tents to learn about your family connections to Scotland or Ireland. Dance around the Maypole and hop on the hayride in the Children’s Area. Watch as the border collie herds the Highland Cows. Learn about Scottish history and language at one of our workshops. Enter your fur baby in the Dog Show. Visit the living history demonstrations and broadsword tournament. Snack on a Scotch Egg and have a wee dram of mead while you peruse the vendor booths. Experience all this and more when you come early and spend the day!
