Here’s how it works.
We have set up a virtual Chamber “event.”
You will click the payment link below and it will take you directly to our payment page where you can donate $5, $10, $25, $50, or $100. Every Wednesday starting April 15, the Chamber staff takes whatever has been collected by that day, and we turn it into a food order from a Minden restaurant for our local front line workers.
We are coordinating with the local restaurants and the staff at the medical and first-responders facilities to be sure the food gets there when it’s most needed. It’s our goal to make this super easy for the hospitals and departments while supporting the restaurants that desperately need the carry-out business to stay afloat. This is an alternative to buying gift cards to restaurants and then trying to donate them to hospitals and departments. We’ll do the work.
This is an AWESOME way to support both the restaurants and the medical personnel and first-responders during the COVID-19 crisis.
We will repeat this every Wednesday through the crisis, donating 100% of the proceeds collected. Just donate to this virtual event and your money will turn into food for our Hungry, Hungry, Heroes!
