What time does the event start?
Festivities begin at 5pm in on Thursday, July 3rd and run through the evening, with fireworks starting at 9PM.

Where is the event located?
The Duck Derby Extravaganza takes place in Downtown Minden, Louisiana.

Is there an entry fee?
Nope! Admission is completely FREE for all ages.

Where can we park?
While a portion of Main Street & Broadway will be blocked off for the event, there will be plenty of street parking surrounding Downtown.

Should we bring anything?
Yes! Bring lawn chairs or blankets to get comfortable and enjoy the festivities. If your kids will be playing in water, maybe a towel too!

Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely! A variety of food trucks, drink vendors, and craft vendors will have items available for purchase. Many of our downtown restaurants will also be open to serve you!

Are there activities for kids?
Yes! We’ll have a children’s parade, water slides, a foam party, and fun activities just for the kids—make sure they bring swimsuits or a change of clothes!

What is the Duck Derby?
It’s a thrilling duck race where hundreds of plastic ducks race down the course toward the finish line. You can “adopt” a duck for a chance to win great prizes! Top duck wins $1,000 cash!

Can we buy ducks at the event?
Yes! Ducks can be adopted on-site while supplies last. Come early to secure yours.

Are pets allowed?
While we love animals as much as anyone, we encourage you to please be mindful of crowds, music, and fireworks later in the evening.

Will there be music or entertainment?
Yes! Enjoy live music, games, contests, and entertainment all evening long.

What time are the fireworks?
The fireworks show kicks off at 9PM—a perfect grand finale to the day!
