Community Time Capsule Project and Burial Ceremony

As we celebrate 190 years of Minden, we’re creating a community time capsule—and we’re inviting YOU to help fill it.

This capsule will capture life in 2026 and will be buried at Jacqueline Park on Thursday, May 7th during the National Day of Prayer—a meaningful moment as our community comes together in reflection and hope for the future.

• Businesses

• Students & schools

• Families & individuals

• Community organizations

📦 What to include:

• Letters to the future

• Photos of your business, family, or favorite places

• Small items that represent daily life in Minden

• Kids’ drawings or notes

• Menus, flyers, or local keepsakes

📅 Submission Deadline: Friday, May 1st

📍 Drop-off Location: Greater Minden Chamber Office

This capsule won’t be opened again until 2076—so let’s make sure it tells the full story of who we are today.
